After a multi-year battle, Miller Law is pleased to announce the settlement of this class action lawsuit. The case concerns Defendant’s hospital merger in January 2000. Plaintiff Class alleges that the Defendant, a hospital network located in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago, abused monopoly power which resulted in Plaintiff Class paying more than they otherwise would have for in-patient healthcare services. To resolve the action, Defendants have agreed to pay the Plaintiff Class $55,000,000. Additional information concerning this case and the settlement can be found here.
